Pastor Jesse L. Radford, III

Determined to remain relevant and real at all costs, while seeking sound Biblical solutions to the problems that attach themselves to God’s people, is what describes the ministry and heart of Pastor Jesse L. Radford III.

Pastor Radford was born in Crossett, Arkansas, to Pastor and Mrs. Jesse L. Radford Jr. After graduating from Hope High School, he continued his education and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Southern Arkansas University. He is a 2001 graduate of Calvary Bible Institute - Washington, DC.

Pastor Radford is an example of the young, next-generation leader. As founder and Senior Pastor of Upper Room Christian Cathedral, a ministry in Manassas, Virginia, he has developed an atmosphere that goes beyond "church as usual." He has quickly become a “leader of leaders”. Pastor Radford brings a refreshing blend of practicality and passion to ministry that is truly inspiring. He has generated a hunger among the leadership of the Upper Room ministry that embraces and demands excellence in all things.

In 1996, God gave Pastor Radford a Genesis 12 experience. Following the leading of the Lord and relocating from Arkansas to Manassas, Virginia, God planted him and his wife as youth pastors at a local church. In 1998, he was elected as Pastor of that church and served there until the spring of 2000.

In April of 2000, God called again and Pastor Radford heeded the call to launch out and make room for a new thing. Through Pastor Radford, God has birthed in the earth the UPPER ROOM CHRISTIAN CATHEDRAL! With committed believers, anointed to see the vision God placed in Pastor Radford, the UPPER ROOM opened her doors on June 11th, 2000 and since that time, has grown tremendously!

Motivating leaders such as John C. Maxwell, Lovett H. Weems and Max Dupree have helped shape and fuel his desire to be a better leader and to encourage those around him to become better leaders. Pastor Radford believes that everything rises and falls on leadership. “Leaders are one of the major catalysts for the fulfillment of purpose in any organization, especially the church”, says Pastor Radford.

Dynamic in delivery, electric in illustration and awesome in application, Pastor Radford is compelled and commissioned by God to present the message of hope with clarity, power, truth and authority. Pastor Radford continues to celebrate life and love with his high school sweetheart, First Lady Almeta L. Radford and their two children, Jordan Thomas Radford, age 5 and one year old, Sydney Alyse Radford.
